OPEN CALL
FOR ARTISTS

We invite artists to participate in ‘Transforming: Here and Now,’ a compelling exhibition running alongside the Warwick conference ‘After Postcolonialism: Global Theory, Local Transformations’.

The exhibition is going to take place from 03 to 07 February 2025, (Tentative in March), at the Ground Floor at Faculty of Arts Building, the University of Warwick.
Exhibition Theme
The exhibition aims to showcase artworks from places where collective political action has been stifled, yet individuals and communities persist in asserting their agency through environmental initiatives that seek to bring about change. It seeks to highlight the ways in which engaging with the environment, be it urban or rural, serves as a significant means of political engagement and fostering community in situations where conventional activism is limited. As such, the exhibition hopes to uncover and celebrate these often-overlooked narratives of resistance and regeneration. Early-career artists are particularly welcome.
