"Neither/Nor" is an artist’s film that adapts Night on the Galactic Railroad to explore identity, migration, and the temporal uncertainties of transition. Situated within the constructed hyperreality of a virtual network—a borrowed place on borrowed time—the film navigates the liminal states between belonging and displacement, history and present. Through a hauntological reflection on migration and global mobility, Neither/Nor reveals how relational ties to places shape our understanding of presence. The work interrogates the 'in-betweenness' of ethnicities, borders, and hyperreality, offering a poignant meditation on transition and resilience.
